SOFA organises  introductory orienteering sessions for small groups (up to 25 participants) in various parts of the Forest of Bere.

Time: Sessions can be arranged for evenings or weekends at a time suitable for the group.

Courses:

Yellow Courses use simple linear features like paths, walls and streams.  They are mainly used by under 12’s and family groups.

Orange Courses  progress to basic use of the compass and route choice. They are ideal for novice adults or experienced youngsters.

Cost: The cost is £2.50 per participant (which includes a coloured map).  

We can also help with indoor map reading activities.
